Welcome to Tommy's Community Kitchen

A community kitchen can be many things, we are NOT a soup kitchen or a food bank we already have those doing a great job in our community.

So what are we? What do we do?

1) We are a training kitchen providing  work experience placements for Neurodivergent young people through local Send Colleges. We also offer places to young people who are home schooled and other young people with barriers to work.

2) We run regular FREE Community Cookery Classes where we cook together and eat together

3) We host regular FREE Community Meals where our trainees put into practise the skills that they are learning

COMING SOON! Our Trainees will be making a range of ready / convenient meals that will be available from the fridge for those who want a nutritious meal but cant cook, or live on their own so its not cost effect for them to buy lots of different ingredients or have limited cooking facilities. These meals are for anyone who would like one on a donation basis.

Community kitchens create a sense of belonging and support empowering individuals by equipping them with essential food skills and resources needed to make healthy choices.

The kitchen benefits individuals, families and communities in West Sussex enabling them access to better quality culturally diverse food.

Helping to combat food insecurities, loneliness and social isolation.

A community kitchen needs the help of the community to thrive so please support us if you can.
